FOUNDING STORY

Our founder, Brenda Bonogofsky was born and raised in Fairfax, VA. After earning her Associates Degree in Biblical Studies at Cornerstone College she moved to Billings, MT with her husband, John, to be near family. She cherishes family and is thankful to her son Matthew, and his wife, Kira, for giving them three beautiful grandkids.

Throughout her life, whenever there was a need at Church or among friends and family, Brenda was always eager to help. Several years ago, Brenda had a dream - putting on a dinner for struggling individuals in her community. At the time, she wasn't sure where this dream would lead her, but then in 2017, the Lord spoke to her about this very dream. This led her to organize The People’s Banquet: A Picnic in the Park - the event that started it all. This event brought local service providers together in one place to share their resources with those in need. Not only did this allow community members in need access to essentials, but it also gave an opportunity to those willing and able to offer their generous support. 

Out of this event, Peoples Community Outreach was born. At Peoples Community Outreach, our mission is to make a positive difference in our community by bringing God’s light and love through actions of material assistance and encouragement. We operate as a conduit between community members in need and those moved to provide their services and resources to meet the needs of the less fortunate among us.
